Proverbs 12:24
“The hand of the diligent will rule, but the lazy man will be put to forced labor.”
Beloved,
No one should have to cajole a believer to carry out God’s instructions. If we believe God as we say, why don’t we trust Him enough to follow His example and carry out His instructions? When we become complacent in servicing our relationship with God, guarding our hearts; and fulfilling our God ordained assignments, we reduce ourselves in destiny. Where we should be reigning, we are toiling or worse- procrastinating to the point that it looks like our faith has no advantage over the nonbeliever. In this series, we will look at how to be productive in the things of God and what to do when we realize that laziness has overtaken our productivity.
- Obey the law of work. Identify the work of your destiny. Start buy carrying out the instructions given to you by your leader in the faith. No assignment is too large or small if God or His appointed has assigned it to you.
- Develop a right mindset towards the work. See your destiny work as your food
John 4:34 – “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.”
There is a reward for the work you are called to do. Let this be your motivation. Know God as a rewarder (Hebrews 11:6). Knowing Him as such should help you put your heart into your work.
3. Work wisely. Finally for today, work wisely. God did not call you to toil but to partner with Him. Seek out and study the right template of how to execute your given assignment. Ask for help from the right sources. Pray for wisdom.
Proverbs 22:29 AMPC – “Do you see a man diligent and skillful in his business? He will stand before kings; he will not stand before obscure men.”
God has given you the grace. You have the responsibility to be effective.
Beloved, there is a level of glory you will never experience unless you finish the work of destiny. Therefore, don’t just seek to do the work for doing sake. Do it with all diligence. Do it to the glory of God. We will look at a few more next time.
