“At the moment I have all I need—and more! I am generously supplied with the gifts you sent me with Epaphroditus. They are a sweet-smelling sacrifice that is acceptable and pleasing to God.”
Beloved,
Here, Paul describes the last of the gifts I’ve come to share with you, today. The joy of getting good gifts from men. God gets things done through men, including ensuring that His children are blessed. There was a time I heard a sharp instruction from the Lord for my members- that they should not turn down gifts, unless instructed otherwise by the Holy Spirit. I always tell them that if anyone gives them a gift from a sincere heart, they should make sure they use it or find someone they can trust to make good use of it. No good gift should go to waste.
Now, I can give you a gift. You can decide to take it or not. God has given you gifts. What have you done with them? Did you receive them? Are they dormant? Perverted? Underutilized? We will round off this series soon. In the mean time, take inventory. What gifts have God given you. What has he given you through men? How must you make use of these gifts. Failing to utilize them properly leaves room for Satan to help you receive a spirit of waste. Once you have proven to carry such, God won’t be able to trust you with much again. This will not be your portion in Jesus’ mighty name. God will always be ready to give you gifts. He will always have men assigned to give you what will benefit you that you wouldn’t have to pay for. You will not only enjoy good gifts from God and men, you will enjoy increase and multiplication from it in Jesus name.
