John 14:16-26 NLT
“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.”
Romans 8:11
“But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.”
Beloved,
Have you yielded your life to the Holy Spirit? One way to ensure He remains in the driver’s seat of your life is by your habitual study and meditation on the word of God. The Word of God is an authority on His own. If you are truly committed to taking control of your life, as we have said before, you will need to be ready to stand guard against forces that would love to help you relegate how much the Holy Spirit can go to work for you. Satan will appreciate it greatly if you remain ignorant to his devices. In fact, ignorance is one of the major devices he uses to keep you powerless.
If you don’t know the Word of God, you won’t know the kind of power you have over the enemy and you won’t be able to defend what is yours.
But it’s not enough to just know God’s Word. You must know it and believe it enough to declare it. There is so much power in your tongue. That’s why the devil wants you to be careless with it. Fill your mouth with God’s word. Confess it daily. Say what must be as it is written in God’s word. And be accountable for what you say and don’t say, just as you should take accountability for what you do and choose not to do.
Make it your priority to start doing, habitually, what you must, to be in control of your life.
