The Infinite Product of Christ’s Death and Resurrection III
1 Peter 3:15-16
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defence to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.
Beloved,
Having the right understanding of your faith in Jesus is the foundation for living a victorious life on earth. Before a person gives his life to Jesus, the devil sees a man he can molest, harass, and accuse to God. But when that man gives his life to Jesus, God no longer sees the man, in his place, He sees Jesus with his pierced hands and His broken body. So while it is true that we may have committed outrageous sins in the past worthy of every guilt and shame we felt, a lack of the knowledge of what Jesus has accomplished for us is what makes the devil able to keep accusing us; whereas God no longer have a record of those wrongdoings.
The personality that is representing you before God the Father is not the glorified body of Jesus, it is still the same body that was broken that is interceding for you in heaven. That is the standing you have before the Lord as a believer.
The devil doesn’t want you to know this truth, and if you don’t know this, he will always come with guilt, shame and all manner of negative emotions making you feel condemned. Therefore beloved, your alignment to Jesus is the key. As long as you are so aligned that all God and the devil sees is Jesus then you won’t get into trouble. So all through your lifetime as a child of God, you must remain in sync with Jesus and not be misaligned or you will become a target for the enemy to afflict.
