1 Peter 3:15-16
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.
Beloved,
We must know why we are followers of Christ and in talking about your Christian faith to your children and to others, you must place emphasis on these fundamental things. The uniqueness of our faith in Christ is tied to His death and resurrection. Christ’s death and resurrection produced infinite advantages for us as believers.
With the death of Jesus, He offered us His broken body as a receipt for the price paid for our sins, Isaiah 53:4-5. Jesus’ broken body is a receipt to principalities and powers to show that indeed Jesus died for us. It cannot be argued that that event did not happen. So whenever Satan shows up, asking that you pay for a transgression you committed, you can bring the receipt of the broken body of Jesus as proof of payment.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
