1 Peter 3:15-16
But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed.
Beloved,
While He was on the earth, Jesus walked as the Son of God and the Son of man. The benefit of this for us is this: Whatever He enjoyed on the earth as the Son of man, we also can enjoy it! We can tap into it. Why? Because He is the first begotten of the Father and we are joint heirs together with Christ. This knowledge is important because it gives you a standard. It is critical that you are fully aware of your inheritance. You must be fully aware of what you MUST be able to believe the Lord for. If Jesus did not enjoy it, then you don’t need to enjoy it. In fact, then you have no right to because it is not in your heritage. But if He enjoyed it, you must know it is your heritage to enjoy the same privilege.
Jesus walked on water as the Son of man. This prototype made it possible for Peter to be able to do the same. Jesus, while He was hungry, was still able to minister to the woman at the well. Don’t ever say your circumstance is a disqualification for God to use you for signs and wonders if you are a child of God. Like Jesus, we also can receive supernatural strength to do what we need to do in life, despite any of circumstances or any physical limitations.
Beloved, the sacrifice of Christ for us on Calvary, and the glory of His resurrection is unlimited! Not only that, it establishes a new covenant for us. (Hebrews 9:15-22, 10:9-10). It is imperative we take full advantage of it, just as He has shown us how. We will touch more on this next time.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
