But Jesus answered them, “My Father has been working until now, and I have been working.”
Beloved,
There is an ongoing program of God. There is something God is up to at every point in time, and our wisdom is to find out what God is doing and ensure that we get involved accordingly. God does not want us to be like animals that live each day as it comes. One major thing that differentiates a man from an animal is the breath of God that made him a living soul. The breath of God is the empowerment of God that enables a man think like God and reason with Him. We lost it at the fall of Adam but gain it back when we give our lives to Jesus Christ. It is this mind of Christ that we have that empowers us to participate in what God is doing.
When God is up to something, He moves men to an unusual action or He orchestrates an unusual situation, like in the following verses.
Luke 2:1-2 NKJV
[1] And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. [2] This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria.
Believers must know how to interpret situations correctly. We must learn how to gain spiritual understanding to what happens to us, and around us. Anytime when something unusual happens, we must remember that nothing just happens! Our wisdom is to find out from God what He’s trying to do and rightly position ourselves to be a part of it. Here, we see how God moved the government to take a census for the very first time because God was working something underneath for His people. So, stop judging situations as they physically appear; there is always more to every physical thing if you would allow the Holy Spirit to help you interpret situations accurately.
