Galatians 5:16-18 NKJV
I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
Beloved,
Part of the Adamic limitation is that everyone has lost some time in one form or another. But in addition to the redemption of our souls, salvation also offers us the restoration of time which can only occur as we walk in close proximity to the Holy Spirit.
Walking in the Spirit means walking in the ordinance of the life we have in Christ, Romans 7:5-6. For you to walk in the Spirit is, you must seek and be responsive to the Spirit’s guidance and leading only. You must be habitually controlled by the Holy Spirit.
When you walk in the Spirit, you are delivered from the works of the flesh. According to Galatians 5:16, this is how you are able to say no to the lusts of the flesh. You are also freed from the law of sin and death, Romans 8:2. In walking in the Spirit, you submit your will to that of the Holy Spirit. Since you no longer have the final say over matters, walking in the Spirit delivers you from acting impulsively. And since His judgments are true and righteous altogether, you can rest assured that whatever He tells you to do is the best.
How accurately you are able to walk in the Spirit is very much dependent on the understanding you have about the Holy Spirit. It is also important that you are sincere and willing and pliable in His hands. You must decide to rely on Him and yield to His every dictate.
Beloved, the Holy Spirit is your greatest advantage on the earth, you will do well if you walk closely with Him.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
