John 6:9 (NIV)
Here is a boy with five small barley loaves and two small fish, but how far will they go among so many?
Beloved,
The problem is not about what you have, or how small or big a thing is, it is about what you do with what you have. In the parable of the talents, the men that had two and five talents did something with what they had been given, but the man that had one talent did nothing with what he had been given. When the Judge would give a verdict, He said the man’s problem wasn’t that what he had was small, it was that he didn’t do anything with what he had; the least he could have done was save it.
Five loaves of bread and two fish in the hands of that boy meant nothing. The Bible says the people had been there for three days, so there’s a possibility that the meal had even gone bad. But when that bread and fish got into the hands of Jesus, He did something to it, and it became a major source that fed everybody.
Beloved, no matter what you have under the sun, no matter how small or big it is, hand it over first to Jesus. Receive from Him divine guidance to utilize and deploy that which you have been given and you will marvel at what can come out of that seemingly insignificant treasure.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
