Galatians 6:4-5 NKJV
But let each one examine his own work, and then he will have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. [5] For each one shall bear his own load.
“Why do I do what I do?”
Beloved, has this question ever crossed your mind? Someone once explained motivation as a critical driver of behavior and goal pursuit. Motivation influences everything from the selection of goals to the sustained effort required to achieve them. Understanding and harnessing your motivation can significantly enhance your ability to reach your desired outcomes. Some key things must reflect your motivation as a child of God. Let us look:
#1 – Commitment to raising a seed.
Malachi 2:15 NKJV
But did He not make them one, Having a remnant of the Spirit? And why one? He seeks godly offspring. Therefore take heed to your spirit, And let none deal treacherously with the wife of his youth.
- A seed is the hope of continuity and a future. Don’t spare your children. Put in them the forces of resilience and tenacity.
- Your seed is the answer to your enemy.
Psalms 127:5 NKJV
Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them; They shall not be ashamed, But shall speak with their enemies in the gate.
- Your seed is the continuation of what you carry in life.
Genesis 37:2 NKJV
This is the history of Jacob. Joseph…
- Raising seed is a mandate, not an option (Malachi 2:15).
Let’s look at some types of seed we must be mindful of:
- Biological seed. This can come in form of your children (like Isaac was for Abraham), or your ideas. Regardless of what form it appears, obtain grace under God to pour your all into the seed that comes from you.
- Destiny seed. These are people that are divinely connected to us. They are a bridge used by God to bring divine possibilities to the lives of others. Do not neglect them if you discern any in your life. Examples are Eleazar for Abraham, Isaac, and Rebekah; Esther for Mordecai and the Israelites.
- Team seed. In Genesis 14:14-15, Abraham raised 318 soldiers in his house, and with that team he defeated 5 kings who war against the king of Sodom. Do what you can to raise a strong and loyal team to do for you that you can’t achieve on your own.
- Mistake/alternative seed. Lot made a mistake and separated himself from Abraham, he faced dire consequence as a result. He had forgotten that his life and destiny only had meaning because it was tied to that of Abraham. Also, Ishmael came as a result of Abraham’s inability to wait patiently for God to move. That singular decision birthed generational strife till date.
Beloved, be committed to raising a seed for God, your destiny, and your generation.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
