The power of God is real and His willingness to release it for humanity to enjoy is endless. However, how we will experience and enjoy His power will determined by our response to Him. One of the factors that determine our response is the understanding that we have about who is speaking. As long as we put a distinction between the word of God and the word of God through men, the way we receive the words will be different and therefore, our interpretation of them will be faulty.
The woman by the well almost missed the visitation of Jesus because she couldn’t discern who was asking something of her. Most of the time, we are not different from her. We often time miss God because we do not know it is Him speaking. Recently, I made a statement while teaching on hearing the word on faith lane that you should create the habit of receiving the word that God’s servant who you submit to says under the anointing as the word of the Lord. This habit will definitely change the paradigm of your interpretation the word and how you obey them.
