“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear;”
Beloved,
Somewhere along the way, men will ask you the reason for the hope you carry. You must be able to give a reason for the hope you carry and the lifestyle you have chosen. Many kids today don’t serve the God of their father because they don’t see any reason they should. They don’t see outcomes. They don’t see how the hope their fathers claimed to have ever amounted to anything and they never saw their fathers’ faith at work. As far as many kids today are concerned, the faith of their forefathers was useless.
Beloved, whatever you have, no matter how much of it you have is useless if it cannot be perpetuated to the next generation. The greatest people to ever live are the people who’s purpose kept living after they’re gone.
Is your faith being perpetuated? Are you making disciples? If not, take stock and make the necessary adjustments to live your life in full alignment with the hope you carry. Don’t let your hope be useless. Make sure you understand, live and carry your hope in Christ like the advantage it is.
