“You may as well know this too, Timothy, that in the last days it is going to be very difficult to be a Christian….” —2 Timothy 3:1, TLB
Beloved,
This is not the hour for casual faith. We are called to be like the five wise virgins—discerning, prepared, filled. They were not merely waiting for the Bridegroom’s arrival—they were ready to meet Him. They carried oil. They carried more than enough.
We, too, are meant to live with oil in our lamps:
- Oil of intimacy with the Holy Spirit
- Oil of obedience God and His Word
- Oil of the Holy Spirit’s presence
It is very important you understand that this oil cannot be borrowed. It must be cultivated maintained or preserved. It is this hidden reserve that will sustain us when light is low and delay stretches long.
“The life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God…” (Galatians 2:20). We are not called to live at the mercy of men, moods, or markets. We are not tethered to human provision—rather, we live by the flow of divine supply.
Reflection Invitation:
- Is your lamp lit—and is there oil in reserve?
- What voices have dulled your hunger for the Spirit’s presence?
- In what areas have you depended on man instead of God?
Prayer: Holy Spirit, fill me again. Let my heart burn with readiness. Teach me to live wisely, carry Your oil daily, and walk in a faith that leans on heaven—not on man. I don’t want to be found empty when You come. Amen.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
P.S,- Join us for this year’s Jesus Feet!
