Right Response (Part 1)

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.” – Psalm 34:1–2 NKJV

Scripture is filled with men and women who faced all kinds of remarkable circumstances and experiences beyond their control, just like us. While some circumstances might be out of our control, we can control how we respond.

David sets a tone for us in Psalm 34:1

“I will bless the Lord at all times and His praises shall continually be in my mouth.”

Notice he doesn’t say, “I will bless the Lord when things are good….” He declares a decision of faith- filled, kingdom- aligned response. His response to a time of trials was that no matter the circumstance, his stance would give glory to God.

Right Response (Part 4)

In this series, we are going to look at the purpose and power of right response. It is critical that we as believers develop a permanent posture of right response. What does right response look like? First of all, a right response is a faith-filled response. According to scripture:

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 2 For by it the elders obtained a good testimony.”

-Hebrews 11:1

A “good testimony” is the outcome of a circumstance or situation met with right response. That same chapter of Hebrews tells us that:

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

– Hebrews 11:6

Faith is a distinguishing factor that influences problems and conditions and not the other way around. Some responded in faith and walked into destiny, while others responded poorly and missed God’s best. Life is not just about what happens to us—it’s about how we respond. I commend you to God and the Word of His grace. I call you BLESSED and NATIONS.
