Right Response 3

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.” – Psalm 34:1–2, NKJV

Beloved,

Not every circumstance in life needs to turn into a problem. Life is made of experiences and events. They only become problems when the humans involved react or proffer an ill equipped response, fail to respond on time or fail to respond at all, choosing, instead to “let whatever happens, happen.” God has given us authority and decision making ability for a reason. King David gives us an example of his decision in our opening scripture:

“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the Lord; The humble shall hear of it and be glad.”

– Psalm 34:1–2 NKJV

He tells us what he chose to do, when he chose to do it and he predicts what the outcome of his decision will be. His son and successor, King Solomon, does the same, learns from it and gives us God-inspired counsel later on in scripture when he says:

Right Response (Part 4)

“A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger. The tongue of the wise uses knowledge rightly, but the mouth of fools pours forth foolishness”. -Proverbs 15:1-2

Your response is indicative of your priorities. A child of God, whatever you say should glorify God and promote His kingdom and whatever is in your God-ordained destiny- and the destiny of whomever is impacted by your response. As we said the last time, a right response is not right just because you offer it calmly and polite. Your response is only right when it rightly aligns with the standard of God’s kingdom and increase your faith and inspires faith in others. It is my prayer that your responses to the affairs of this life will do exactly that. This life is too limited for the devil to be successful at using it to overtake you. It is my prayer that you will know Your God-given authority that comes by way of His Word and your relationship with Him. I commend you to God and the Word of His grace. I call you BLESSED and NATIONS.

‘Sola
