God did not create man to do life alone—but He did not create us to do life just anyhow and with just anyone, either:
Genesis 2:18
And the LORD God said, “It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him.”
Beloved, who we surround ourselves with matters. It has great influence on our destiny journey and can even ruin it for us. It is critical that we are always intentional about asking these questions when it comes to choosing relationships or the roles people can or must play in our lives:
- Who is this person to me?
- Who are they to my destiny?
- How must I relate with them?
- Should I be relating with them at all?
Beloved, before you engage in any relationship, be sure to clearly define the purpose and protocols of your engagement. Always ask: “Who is this person to me? Who is this person to my destiny?” Take your time to think of the people you are spending life with. What do they have to do with your destiny. What do you have to do with theirs? When we neglect asking ourselves questions like these, we risk filling our lives with people who do not align with God’s plan for us. This will not be your portion in Jesus’ mighty name. I commend you to God and the Word of His grace. I call you BLESSED and NATIONS.
