Taking time to properly define things leads to better understanding, productivity, and profitability. As Proverbs 4:7 says,
“In all thy getting get an understanding.”
This begins with defining what matters most—our relationship with God. According to Proverbs 9:10, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom,” making God the source of our wisdom.
In other words, the Lord should be the source of all of our intelligence. Define your relationship with Christ. Who is He to you? Is He just an option? Is He your one time Savior? Or is He something more? One scripture says this:
“I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”- John 15:5
In other words, if we have truly given our lives to Christ and declare Him our Lord and Savior, He should define our entire life, not just the parts of our life that are convenient for us.
John 15:5 emphasizes that apart from Christ, “you can do nothing.” Our lives should reflect this relationship fully, not just conveniently. We must align our thoughts and actions with God’s Word, which provides clarity, purpose, and reveals our true identity and destiny. Prioritize prayer and engagement with God’s Word. When we define our lives based on God’s Word, we gain clarity and purpose. We begin to see our true identity and the destiny God has designed for us. Please take your time in the place of prayer and God’s word seriously. I commend you to God and the Word of His Grace. I call you BLESSED and NATIONS!
