1 Peter 5:8 (NKJV)
“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.”
Beloved,
In many homes today, we don’t just rely on doors and windows to protect what’s valuable. We install locks, alarms, and security systems because we know thieves don’t need much of an opening to break in. The same is true for your spiritual life. To guard what God has entrusted to you, you must have the right structures in place.
Psalm 127:1 (NKJV)
“Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”
Spiritual structures are not physical walls, but disciplines, habits, and boundaries that protect your heart, your gifts, and your destiny. These are what make it difficult for the enemy to gain access.
-
Prayer & Fasting: These keep your spirit sharp and sensitive.
-
God’s Word: A daily shield and lamp for your path.
-
Fellowship: Surrounding yourself with godly mentors and believers who can see what you may not.
-
Obedience: Quick obedience is a wall of protection against deception.
When these are neglected, your life becomes like a house with open doors. But when you keep them in place, you live fortified. You will remain fortified, in Jesus name. I commend you to God and the Word of His grace. I call you BLESSED and NATIONS.
