1 Timothy 1:19 | The Voice
Armed with faith and a good conscience. Some have tried to silence their consciences, wrecking their lives and ruining their faiths.
Beloved,
The third additive of faith that we want to consider is a good conscience. Your conscience stores and determines your attitude. It is possible to be a believer with a corrupt and even dead conscience. You will see this play out when you see some atrocities that some so-called believers would commit—they could be so bad that you wonder if they are even born again.
A good conscience is a measure of your sincerity towards God and towards men. A good conscience is clear of offence and of evil in dealings with men. A good conscience delivers you from fear of men to an extent.
A believer that is full of dirty secrets is only shooting his leg because he would have many debris to always clean up. The verse above states that people that ignore good conscience end up wrecking their lives and ruining their faith.
Please pay attention to your conscience. Stop quieting its voice. The more you silence your conscience, the more you deaden it. And once you deaden your conscience, you block one major way the Holy Spirit reaches out to you.
Receive the grace to keep a good conscience always.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
