Proverbs 4:20-23 NKJV
[20] My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. [21] Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; [22] For they are life to those who find them, And health to all their flesh. [23] Keep your heart with all diligence, For out of it spring the issues of life.
Beloved,
Your spirit is a system of immunity. It’s a major defense against both natural and spiritual ailments. Like any system, it has a standard of provocation. It is directly responsive to words. The word or system of words your spirit man is exposed to matters! Why? Because it is what it hears that it receives, then it is only a matter of time before it begins to produce, respond, or prevail against accordingly. This is evidenced in the gospel of John, chapter 4:
John 4:46-53 NKJV
[46] So Jesus came again to Cana of Galilee where He had made the water wine. And there was a certain nobleman whose son was sick at Capernaum. [47] When he heard that Jesus had come out of Judea into Galilee, he went to Him and implored Him to come down and heal his son, for he was at the point of death. [48] Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.” [49] The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!” [50] Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way. [51] And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!” [52] Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.” [53] So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.
Needless to say, when he arrived back home, he learned his son was healed from the moment he heard the words of Jesus and made a decision to believe. Beloved, whose words do you allow yourself to hear, either consciously or unconsciously? Please know that whatever voice or voices and whatever ever word you expose yourself to will impact your belief system, which in turn will impact your experiences. It’s only a matter of time. If you are not enjoying healing in your life despite all the praying and laying on of hands, ask yourself, what have I been listening to? Which words must I hear and confess in order to enjoy healing in my life?
