Ecclesiastes 7:8 NKJV
The end of a thing is better than its beginning; The patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit.
Beloved,
As we round off this series, let’s look at one more fiery dart of the enemy. Understand that the training and system you have in place before the fiery dart of the enemy is thrown at you will help you deflect that attack. Patience is one virtue a believer should not be without. You need the virtue of patience in your walk with God because His ways are not your way.
Impatience causes a man to look for short cuts and to make poor choices in life. Patience on the other hand will empower you to pay attention to divine demands and divine process, so that you can endure the passage of time needed to undertake God’s demand of you.
Impatience hinders a man from being in charge of his soul, Luke 21:19. It also hinders believers from persevering, Romans 8:25. Every promise of God is for an appointed time and man has no control over this. This is part of what you signed up for on the faith lane. An impatient man is a man who will be easily offended. It is a dart of the devil whose objective is to cause abortion of divine process and rob a believer of the joy of accomplishment. So, how do we deal with it? To deal with impatience:
- Train yourself to always stay within the boundary of God’s instructions and timing for your life, Psalm 21:1-5.
- Very many Bible characters have gone through situations that tested their patience. Study them and imitate how they deployed the virtue of patience.
- Immerse yourself in the right atmosphere and be found among the community of right- and like-minded people. This is needed to support your cultivation of patience, Hebrews 11:9, Matthew 3:15.
- Engage in active worship and celebration. Develop a mindset that celebrates. Such thinking that stirs up praise in you will be fueled by these knowledge:
- God is faithful, 1 Corinthians 10:13, Hebrews 11:11.
- God is at work, Psalm 115:3.
- God’s time is not my time, John 7:6,8.
- What I cannot obtain today has gone into the future to wait for me, John 7:6,8.
- If I can celebrate by faith now, I will celebrate the achievement when my process is complete, Romans 4:20.
This is my final word to you beloved:
Psalm 27:14 TLB
Don’t be impatient. Wait for the Lord, and he will come and save you! Be brave, stouthearted, and courageous. Yes, wait and he will help you.
Psalm 37:34 TLB
Don’t be impatient for the Lord to act! Keep traveling steadily along His pathway and in due season He will honor you with every blessing, and you will see the wicked destroyed.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
