Luke 6:38 NKJV
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Beloved,
When God sees that without question, you give Him anything He asks of you, even the things you earnestly asked Him for, there is nothing He won’t give you. Giving is a major test of our loyalty.
Matthew 6:19-21, NIV
For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also
Where is your heart? If you say that your heart and loyalties are with God, yet you don’t tithe, you are deceiving yourself. Tithe is an act of covenant. When you commit to give Him your life, you are saying that you and all that has to do with you belongs to Him. When what you have, you hide from him or prioritize it elsewhere, who are you deceiving if not yourself? It’s as good as getting married and promising to devote your life to someone, yet you save, pay bills and provide for every home but the one you should be building with the person you claim to love.
Malachi 3:8
“Will a man rob God? Yet you are robbing me. But you say, ‘How have we robbed you?’ In your tithes and offerings.”
Giving your tithe and offering to God is both a demonstration of your faith in Him you’re your commitment to Him. Willingness is essential before one can receive substantial blessings. This principle is illustrated with Abraham in Genesis 22, who did not withhold his son, leading God to extend His blessings to Abraham and his descendants. Don’t constrain your life by limiting your expression of love for the Father. He does not constrain Himself when it comes to demonstrating His love for us. Accumulate treasures where you intend to spend eternity—in His presence.
I entrust you to God and the Word of His Grace. I commend you to God and the Word of His Grace. I call you blessed and nations.
