Luke 6:38 NKJV
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Beloved,
Giving is a major way to tap into the flow of what God is doing. I laugh when people respond to God’s work or instructions as if they are doing Him a favor. Beloved, God does not need anything from you. He needs as a body on ground, but He can use anyone and as desired. Be a good and Godly steward of all He has entrusted into your care.
2 Corinthians 9:10-11
Now may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God…
As you do this, know He will reward you. You get the privilege of a glorious inheritance. You get to tap into a supply source that you otherwise would not have qualified to enjoy. Such was the predicament of the men given various amounts of talents to steward in the parable Jesus shared with His disciples. Remember how the farmer responded to the evil servant who formed opinions, but not a profitable plan? See how his master responded:
Mark 25:26-28
But his lord answered and said to him, “You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown and gather where I have not scattered seed. So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. So take the talent from him and give it to him who has ten talents.”
Failure to give is a fast and easy way to lose. The servant above spent more time being jealous and forming opinions than taking his time to learn from and celebrate those who were living more righteously and productively than he was. He missed out on a grand opportunity to enjoy blessing because he couldn’t recognize or appreciate the one who was giving him a chance to be blessed.
You should want to celebrate blessing in the life of others. You must want to be blessed to be a blessing.
Mark 25:29-30
For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
It scares me that there are some people who have built a lifestyle dependent on the government. They will do everything to avoid making a dollar more than what will disqualify them from being dependent on the government. Be grateful. Be responsible.
I commend you to God and the Word of His Grace. I call you blessed and nations.
