2 Corinthians 12:9
But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
Beloved,
One of the sources of wisdom of any sensible son is taking seriously the counsel of the fathers that finished their race very well. It’s important that we take seriously the counsels that Apostle Paul, who finished well, gave in the Bible.
One of such counsels was the one he gave to Timothy in the verse of the scripture below.
You therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2 Timothy 2:1
Looking at the verse critically, we can some truths from it. There are many people out there who are strong in many things, but what separates you as a son in the kingdom is that you are strong in the grace that is in Christ. You must let what you are strong in differentiate you from others. Don’t get bothered with what others are doing, mind your business in what you must be strong in.
You must be strong in the grace that is in Christ. This tells me that it is not every grace that is powered by Christ Jesus. Little wonder why we have all manners of grace that people preach in our days. You must identify the grace that is in Christ Jesus. You must do a proper study on what grace in Christ Jesus really entails and abide strictly by it.
Finally, it’s not just an advice, it’s a command. Be strong, be strengthened, and be garnished with the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
