Beloved,
When we last discussed how to be led by the Holy Spirit, we said that it is important we master WHAT we hear. In order to do that, it is imperative we master HOW we hear.
Beloved, what is the posture you take in engaging the Holy Spirit? Are you listening for understanding? Are you listening to truly retain that which the Spirit is saying and with your mind set to execute according to His instruction and guidance? The things of the Spirit can be slippery. It behooves you to write down every word of information and instruction you receive from above lest it slip through your fingers.
You must also position yourself to hear what the Spirit is saying. Believe it or not, your church attendance matters. There is some information God gives directly to a church family. You don’t want to miss a corporate word from the Lord or anything that can happen in the service that would prepare you for the Holy Spirit’s direct address. Being in the right church matters as does being there consistently and with the right heart and attitude of expectation and obedience to divine instruction. So be strategic about it and make it easy for the Holy Spirit to lead you.
