DO NOT YIELD – Part 5: From Sin’s Grip to God’s Grace

2 Corinthians 13:14

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

Beloved,

Let me round off this series by sharing with you what I believe is the most important key to being Spirit-led: relationship. If your mindset is to be ritualistic with Him, it won’t work.  Your dealings with the Holy Spirit are never meant to be transactional.  Your experience with Him is meant to be transformational; therefore, you must deal with Him relationally.

Intimacy is the goal. You achieve this by choosing to be vulnerable with Him, much like you must be willing to do in a healthy, Godly marriage. Speaking in tongues is a great way to do just that.  When you speak in tongues, you’re trusting the Holy Spirit to speak for you. Another way to build your relationship with the Holy Spirit is to give Him your time and attention.  Look for every opportunity to hear from Him.   Create space and time for it daily and habitually. Walk with Him. The more you do, the more like Him you become. I challenge my members to pray in the Spirit at least 15 minutes a day. You would be amazed at how much more aligned with Him you will become.

Lastly, a good relationship involves knowing what your partner has to offer you and what you have to offer your partner. The Holy Spirit offers you comfort, guidance, time and life saving instructions, peace, access to the anointing, insight, intelligence and so much more.  What you have to offer Him is your yieldedness and obedience and accuracy in carrying out His Instructions. Most importantly you both have fellowship to offer one another.  Fellowship with the Holy Spirit and enjoy a life of ease as He leads you.

I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.

I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
