John 21:15 NKJV
So when they had eaten breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me more than these?” …
Beloved,
Still another thing you must avoid to avoid the fall of destiny is what you love more than God. King Solomon in the Bible started out loving the Lord with all his heart. He demonstrated this in his sacrificial giving to God. King Solomon’s love and devotion to God could also be seen in the dedication and attention he put to building a temple for God.
Unfortunately, this love could not be sustained because he allowed other affections to enter his heart. The Bible says in 1 kings 11:1,
“I Kings 11:1 NKJV
But King Solomon loved many foreign women, …
And verse 9 says,
I Kings 11:9 NKJV
So the Lord became angry with Solomon, because his heart had turned from the Lord God of Israel, who had appeared to him twice,
Beloved, examine your heart to see if your love for God is still as strong as it was the first time you gave your heart to Jesus. Check to see if you have stronger affection and desire for other things outside of God. If you find that to be true of you, it is in your best interest to repent and allow your love for God to dominate your heart. To avoid the fall of destiny, never allow your heart to turn away from the Lord your God.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
