Luke 2:30-32
For my eyes have seen Your salvation which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.”
Beloved,
When Jesus’ earthly parents took him to the temple, what everyone saw was a baby, but Simeon knew that He wasn’t just a baby. He introduced and interpreted who He was to the people there who had spiritual understanding. The baby he held and was seeing is God’s salvation. He has been prepared, He is the light, and He is to be the glory of His people.
Sometimes it is difficult for individuals to communicate who they are in God’s plan to themselves and to others. The reason is because many times there are assets and liabilities we bring to the kingdom, and if the liabilities are many, the carrier would be seeing things from that standpoint instead of what God is doing in their life and this makes communicating their true value difficult. Yet such an individual needs to know who he is to God as if this is not communicated rightly, the right training that would equip the person for life and living will not be adequately carried out.
Beloved, your prophecy is in the prophecy of Jesus. This is what that means: whatever prophecy was given about Jesus, if you will not fulfil all of it, at least you must find your own prophecy there. As Jesus is a glory to His people, you also are a glory to your own world. You also have been prepared and you are a light.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
