Exodus 33:14:
“My presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”
Beloved,
There was a time after the fall of Adam that God would visit men, but He no longer dwelled with them as He did in the Garden. And as of that time, He had yet to ever inhabit a man.
God had glorious plans for such men, just as He does for your life. Instead of stirring us as He does today, He programed what He had for them, not through direct encounter, but through divinely inspired relationships. For example, for some, He put His Presence upon them in the form of anointing that was tied to special laws including communication through other men. Yet, these men He would not speak directly to were chosen.
Did you ever wonder if such men took offense with God, asking why they were good enough to be used by Him, yet He didn’t feel they were good enough for Him to communicate with directly? If any of these men did feel such a way, it does not change the fact that we are still highlighting them as men to learn from and recognize thousands of years later. To date, there exists strong evidence of their own unique calling- including those whose callings were manifested only by way of their encounters their divine linkages.
We all want to have direct, net-breaking, miraculous encounters with God just like in the case of Jesus with Simon Peter & his partners in Luke 5. To desire such is not bad, yet we must balance that zeal with the truth with God’s righteous sovereignty. He cannot be placed in a box. We cannot become dictators for His Holy Spirit on how He ought to operate His Kingdom.
Rather our focus must be on sensitizing our spirit man enough to flow with the leading of the Holy Spirit.
Beloved, trust God for divine encounter. Position yourself and open your heart to receive and steward it to His glory no matter how He chooses to engage us. Don’t miss, dismiss or trivialize opportunities of divine encounter that He makes available to us through His servants and other divine linkages as He assigns them to us.
I commend you to God and the Word of His Grace. I call you blessed and nations.
