Joshua 24:14-15 NKJV
[14] “Now therefore, fear the Lord, serve Him in sincerity and in truth, and put away the gods which your fathers served on the other side of the River and in Egypt. Serve the Lord! [15] And if it seems evil to you to serve the Lord, choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death.
Beloved,
Last time, we started looking at some thing which, though may be optional for others, are compulsory for everyone who will be successful in the journey of destiny. Today, we will look at more of such things.
You must keep the feast by all means, Acts 18:20-21. In this scripture, Paul was being persuaded to stay with some people for a longer time than he planned, but he insisted that he had to leave because he needed to keep the Jewish feast by all means. After determining to pursue a certain goal, the pressure of people will come for you to change your mind, but you won’t be dissuaded if you know what you must do by all means. You must know the things you must go for. Learn how to move on when it is time to do so. You must know the feasts you must keep by all means. These include church services, communion, quiet time.
Another thing that is a must is that you must have more revelation of the word, Psalm 119:169 TPT. Make it a must to have more revelation of God’s word. Never get used to God’s word. The revelation may be something you’ve never heard before. Or it may be the same thing you’ve heard before, but it is coming anew to you. You must have these experiences always: new revelation of God, and a fresh dimension of what you knew before.
Also, in learning about the must-do of destiny, you must do the right things, Matthew 3:13-15. Do the right thing because it is right. Despite his complaints, John the Baptist had to baptize Jesus or else Jesus’s ministry wouldn’t kick off. Don’t fight laid down structure. Don’t wait till you suffer the consequences of disobedience before you come to a place of obedience. Know that you are rewarded for doing the right thing not for doing a good thing.
Lastly, you must obey completely, Psalm 119:4. Every rule of God requires complete obedience. This covers specific instructions God gave you personally or the ones that comes from your pastor in your local church to the members. Train yourself to obey promptly because you must work the work of Him that sent you. You must prepare for it, and you must do it. You must be about your Father’s business because God’s business should take the highest priority. Not only must you be about the Father’s business, you must finish the work assigned to you. Don’t allow the work of God to suffer delay in your hands.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
