Job 14:7-9 NKJV
[7] “For there is hope for a tree, If it is cut down, that it will sprout again, And that its tender shoots will not cease. [8] Though its root may grow old in the earth, And its stump may die in the ground, [9] Yet at the scent of water it will bud And bring forth branches like a plant.
Beloved,
I started sharing with you the importance of retaining and maintaining your confidence, especially your confidence in God.
If you are a child of God, and it feels like your confidence is lacking; you will know in the place of prayer. It could be that before you were able to approach God with trust and confidence but now you are no longer confident in His divine ability to save, heal, and deliver. Eventually, prayer and worship becomes a routine and a lifeless activity because you have begun to look for alternatives besides God.
Lack of confidence is lack of assurance, and it permeates everything you do and say. When you are confident, you are well able to defend your cause. You can defend your cause when you are able to come before the Lord with your strong reasons that the devil can’t refute, and your strong reasons can only be accessed from the word of God. No problem has ever faced a man such as that of Job, yet he was confident that God was in control of his life. It is in our DNA as children of God to keep rising. And even if we fall seven times we just get back up and don’t give up on ourselves. We keep proving the devil wrong when we get back up.
Beloved, the Lord will always make a way of escape for you. It may feel like darkness all around you right now but that does not mean that God not with you. You may be in a situation you didn’t plan for, but God is still watching over you. Perhaps, He intentionally permitted you to experience that season of life to build you up and to prepare you for what lies ahead. So be patient under the mighty hand of God and align yourself to His dealings.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you blessed. I call you NATIONS.
