Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
Beloved,
If you have been taking your time to walk with God, as Simeon did in the scripture we read yesterday, then you understand, by now that walking with Him is truly to your advantage. If you have chosen to give your life to Him, it’s because you realize He can take you much further than where you were. If you are to stay ahead in the game of life, you will need what only your walk with God can give you. It is only by faith that you can effectively walk with God and please Him (2 Corinthians 5:7; Hebrews 11:6). Ask Abraham. Ask Moses.
I’m sure you can remember how excited you were when you first gave your life to Christ. Did you ever experience a time that felt like you lost your zeal? Some people start out on fire for Christ then suddenly they realize they are falling behind in the game of life. How does this happen? Did they lose faith? Maybe not. But it is likely they have lowered or lost their expectation. One reason we lower our expectations is because we did not immediately see what God promised us. The devil is a deceiver, so he will be quick to help you lower your expectations. Beloved, God keeps His promises. The bible tells us in Hebrews 11:13,
“…These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them afar off were assured of them, embraced them and confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.
Hebrews 11:13
Believe God’s word. If you are expecting from God, don’t stop believing. Find a scripture to back up that which you expect and bring it before the Lord until you get a response directly from Him. Standing upon the word of God is a major way to boost your faith and keep you ahead on this side of eternity.
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
