Luke 2:25-26
25 And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. 26 And it had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not see death before he had seen the Lord’s Christ.
Beloved,
Simeon had a structure in place, just like we learned the last time. It is because he was consistent in the place of prayer that the angel of God was able to meet him to give him a heads up about what was to come. Maybe some of his contemporaries had since passed away. But, in his old age, he waited and heeded the angel’s instruction until he was finally able to see what God was doing. Simon was ahead in life because he had faith to believe what the Lord had spoken. His faith is what drove his actions and accordingly, it is what drove his outcomes in life.
Beloved, how is your faith life? How do you know the status of your faith life? If your outcomes in life are only traceable to natural sources, you are not walking by faith. The bible tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:7 that we are to walk by faith and not by sight. Boost your faith by hearing the word of God and governing your life accordingly (Romans 10:17).
I commend you to God, and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
