ROMANS 8:17
…And if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.
Are you a child of God? Have you totally surrendered your life to Christ? Do you accept Him as Your Lord and Savior? Is God your Father. Do you enjoy the leading of the Holy Spirit? Then beloved, the time is now for you to get your inheritance!
People like David, Son of Jesse understood this quite well and on time. Hence, he wrote this:
Psalm 16:5
“The Lord is my chosen portion and my cup; You hold my lot.”
King David could say the aforementioned, first of all, because he enjoyed the revelation of who he was in God’s kingdom and more importantly, who God was for Him.
Beloved, when it comes to inheritance, relationship matters. There is a way we must position ourselves to receive. A major part of that positioning is knowing who God is and how to relate with Him. We must also understand who our blesser is or who is the father figure God has placed in our lives to help us on our journey? The entire concept of inheritance was founded by fathers. It is a father’s joy to prepare a son to receive everything He worked hard for over the years. In fact, please understand that without fathers, there is no inheritance. The devil loves to isolate us by way of offense, emotionalism and the like so that we cannot receive what we will need from Him as our heavenly Father, or the anointed servants He has ordained to father us. King David understood and enjoyed this quite well. As a result, he demonstrated sonship and let nothing get in the way of him giving honor where honor was due. As a child of God, you, too, must understand how to relate with God and His anointed so that you can receive your portion in Christ Jesus. For more context, read 1 Samuel 16. You will not abandon your inheritance, and all God has apportioned especially for you. You, too, will live for nations, in Jesus’ mighty name. I commend you to God and the Word of His Grace.
