Hosea 5:11 NKJV
Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, Because he willingly walked by human precept.
Beloved,
Human beings live and walk by human precepts. Human precepts include, human philosophy and personal beliefs, most of which are deeply rooted in demonic ideas. Paul referred to these precepts as the wisdom of this world (1 Corinthians 1:20-21). Human precepts also include personal instructions of some leaders in the body of Christ that they have eventually imposed on their followers as doctrine.
However, when we got born again, the translation from the kingdom of darkness to the kingdom of light mandates us to have a change of mindset and start living by godly precept. God expects that you do not get engaged in life based on what is politically correct but what is spiritually correct.
There are a lot of believers that they cannot point at any decision they take that is by spiritual precepts. Their life is so natural that it attracts no assistance from God. That is not the plan of God for any of His children. Following human philosophy at the expense of the truth of God’s word increases carnality and hence reduces interaction with the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:5-7).
The consequences of willingly following human philosophy at the expense of the truth of God’s word from the passage above are oppression and brokenness in judgment—and both are very difficult to bear.
Stop living a canal life. Stop depending on human precepts. Pastors should stop feeding God’s people with doctrines that are just “high-sounding nonsense”—they appear sensible to the mind but never to the spirit (Colossians 2:8 NLT). It is the truth of God’s word that sets free, not human precepts.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS.
