2 Corinthians 2:7-
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power
may be of God and not of us.”
Beloved,
To be a vessel is to be fit for use. A good vessel has the capacity to contain and deliver whatever its owner requires. If you have given your life to Christ, praise God! In exchange you are enjoying all the benefits of His finished work at work in you, through you and for you. If you are a born again believer, but this is not your experience, ask yourself, is there any part of your being that is not totally surrendered to Him? Is there an aspect of your life you have not given Him access to that He might purify it and set it apart for His glory?
2 Timothy 2:21:
“If anyone cleanses himself from what is unfit, he will be a vessel for honorable use, set apart as holy, useful to the master of the house, ready for every good work.“
God is ready to work with us to accomplish wonderful things on the earth. We only need to be ready and willing to surrender. One vessel we often fail to surrender is our mouth.
Proverbs 18:4:
“The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters; the fountain of wisdom is a gushing stream.
God is ready to fill our mouths with awesome truth and incredulous power.
Psalms 81:10 NKJV — “I am the Lord your God, Who brought you out of the land of Egypt; Open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.”
Pride, shame, fear and having ears and hearts that are full, but fully surrendered to the Father- meaning they are consciously, deliberately and committed to taking in information and instructions that are not from or of God.
Numbers 19:15:
“And every open vessel, which hath no covering bound upon it, is unclean.”
Beloved, your mouth is a vessel. Surrender it to the Lord and see how He uses it to speak life and declare blessings and better things on the earth.
I commend you to God and the Word of His grace. I call you BLESSED. I call you NATIONS
