2 Corinthians 2:7-
“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power
may be of God and not of us.”
Beloved,
In our last reflection, we discovered that our mouths were designed to be vessels of honor—channels through which God speaks. The Lord Himself says:
“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt; open your mouth wide, and I will fill it.” — Psalm 81:10
But our mouths can’t carry His message if our hearts are full of idols like pride, fear, and worldly distractions. When we constantly expose ourselves to things that oppose God’s Word, we leave no space for the Holy Spirit to dwell or speak through us.
This world is not neutral. Life is spiritually structured to pull us away from what nourishes our soul and aligns us with God. Distractions, unhealthy patterns, and even legitimate responsibilities can make it difficult to consistently focus on what truly matters—our relationship with Him.
To become vessels that God can use, we must make a deliberate choice to reject these distractions. It requires awareness of the covenant we carry as His children. Scripture reminds us:
“The LORD confides in those who fear Him; He makes His covenant known to them.” — Psalm 25:14
God shares His secrets and His heart with those who honor Him—those who spend time in His presence.
That’s where transformation happens. When we make time each day to worship, reflect on His promises, and turn away from anything that doesn’t reflect His nature, He does what only He can do. He purifies us. He speaks to us. He empowers us. And He fills us with treasures not of this world.
Make time for God. Not as a duty—but as a desire to be near Him. Let Him cleanse, shape, and trust you with His Word.
You were made for this.
I commend you to God and to the word of His grace.
I call you BLESSED.
I call you NATIONS.
