Vessels IV

It is our work to be and have earthen vessels. By “earthen”, we mean molded and yielded… designed especially for a certain work. We were made for a purpose. Sin separated us from it just as it separates us from the One who gives us life and meaning. We know that God put a structure in place to redeem us for Himself and His purpose. But the hyper grace era has helped the average Christian believe that “all we have to do is respond”. Response is a major step, but it is not the only one. Just as John the Baptism predicated the arrival of Christ as savior to the World, baptism predicates His reigning in our lives. It’s not possible to become a new creation while holding on to old habits and belief systems. We must be purified that we might make room for Him to move and work in and through us.
It is imperative we do not relegate the purification process. God cannot and will not abide with holiness. This is why He calls you to be so. The only way to fully enjoy His Presence and be fit for the His use is to surrender all to Him and let Him remove everything that is not like Him in you. Then He can fill you.
