“But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellence of the power may be of God and not of us.” -2 Corinthians 2:7
Beloved,
Every human on this side of eternity was created by God and with purpose. Our primary purpose is or should be to establish right relationship with our Maker. While many express their gratitude and dedication to God publicly, they often struggle in the place of private . Much like a clay pot, all of us must go through a refining season:
2 Timothy 2:21: “But indeed, O man, who are you to reply against God? Will the thing formed say to him who formed it, “Why have you made me like this?” Does not the potter have power over the clay, from the same lump to make one vessel for honor and another for dishonor? What if God, wanting to show His wrath and to make His power known, endured with much long suffering, the vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, and that He might make known the riches of His glory on the vessels of mercy, which He had prepared beforehand for glory.”
The initial and foremost purpose of our creation is to reflect the glory of our Maker. This requires a genuine and wholehearted dedication of oneself, beyond verbal affirmations. Such surrender allows for personal growth and ensures alignment with the intended purpose.
Consider whether you have truly dedicated your life to Christ, or whether it is time to reaffirm your commitment. Should you choose the latter, it is regarded positively within spiritual doctrine. As “earthen vessels,” we must willingly undergo refinement and development to become suitable for purposeful use. I commend you to God and the word of His grace. I call you BLESSED and NATionS
