Let’s continue reviewing the importance, processes and benefits of living a well-defined life. Beloved, what we do not properly define, we cannot properly engage, much less understand. In our last post, we established that those of us who have made the decision to surrender our lives to Christ, have decided, by default that He defines our lives. He and everything about Him gives our lives meaning.
“…I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live.” – Jesus, John 11:25
The act of defining is not mere semantics—it’s the difference between moving forward in clarity or wandering in confusion. Everything and everyone we allow to remain in our lives, but undefined, eventually become stumbling blocks on the road to destiny fulfillment. In the same way that a map is useless without clear markers, our journey is hindered without intentional definitions guiding us.
Jesus defines our lives. He said:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life” –John 14:6
Of all the ways He can have described Himself- He defined Himself as “The Way” especially for us who believe in Him because life is a journey. Life is a journey. As with any journey, if you don’t have a clear destination in mind, waste and loss inevitable.
Ponder the path of your feet and let all your ways be established.- Proverbs 4:27
It is my prayer that you receive strength for your journey. You will know where you are going and you will arrive safely and on time with the help of the Holy Spirit. We will talk more about things in our lives that we must clearly define for the sake of a safe and prosperous journey with the Father in our next post.
