“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions.” – Joel 2:28
Through the Prophet Isaiah, God communicates a significant invitation:
“Ho! Everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat. Yes, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price. Why do you spend money for what is not bread, and your wages for what does not satisfy? Listen carefully to Me, and eat what is good, and let your soul delight itself in abundance.” – Isaiah 55:1-2
Subsequently, Christ reiterates this message:
“On the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” – John 3:37-38
In these passages, the reference is to the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Scriptures affirm God’s nature as one who abundantly supplies grace:
“And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.” – 2 Corinthians 9:8
Despite these assurances, spiritual dryness can still occur, often as a result of choices or neglect that distance individuals from divine provision. Such a state can be detrimental if left unaddressed. However, through reflection and engagement with God’s guidance, renewal is possible.
This series will examine the mercy and kindness available through what is termed “outpouring”, a transformative process facilitating alignment with God and access to the fullness of His kingdom. Outpouring represents a rapid and beneficial change initiated by divine intervention.
The objective of this series is to encourage thoughtful self-assessment regarding areas of spiritual dryness and to provide practical insights for embracing God’s renewing presence.
Reflection: Consider the scriptural promise concerning the outpouring of the Spirit. Identify aspects of your life where spiritual renewal may be needed and contemplate actionable steps toward greater openness to this renewal.
Prayer: Express gratitude for the abundance provided and affirm your willingness to receive it.
With best regards and encouragement in the pursuit of grace,
‘Sola
